DESCRIPTION:Ceramic Flower Workshop\nSunday 21st June \n1 pm – 4 pm \n$120 \nMahana Rd Studio \nParaparaumu Beach \nAdd some Wow factor to your garden this winter creating your very own set of forever flowers. \nIn this three hour workshop you can choose between making either three large poppies or six of the smaller flowers which you’ll hand paint with beautiful ceramic glazes of your choice\, from classic whites and pinks through to rich reds\, purples\, greens and blues Storm offers a range of beautiful brushable glazes to explore. \nWhether you want your flowers to hang on the wall as sculptural artworks or made to put on rods in the garden these will look beautiful displayed inside or outside your home\, and if you can bare to part with them they are stunning hand crafted gifts. \nYour work will be dried and fired and ready to collect within two weeks. Rods will be provided for those who’d like to put them on stakes for placing in the garden and Storm will show you how to attach these which you’ll do at home once you’ve collected your work. \nThis class is suitable for beginners upwards so whether you come on your own or bring a friend you’ll be part of a fun group having fun with clay. \nNB Please park on the street and walk down the driveway to the sign posted Studio.

You may choose to carve your own specific design or pattern for the light to shine through or create a lacy pattern using hole cutters and carving tools.Your lantern could be taller or differently shaped so feel free to bring a photo of your idea and Storm will guide you through the process from start to finish. \nYou will then hand glaze your work with a wide variety of glaze colours and options using brushable glazes\, \nyour work will be dried and fired and ready to collect within two weeks. \nYour beautiful lantern will add a warm glow to your home or table and can be lit with a candle\, battery powered candle or seed lights look great too. \nThis is a fab way to spend a winter afternoon so whether you come on your own for some creative ‘me time’ or bring a friend you’ll all be part of a group having fun with clay. \nNB please park on the street and walk down the driveway to the sign posted studio
