DESCRIPTION:8 Week Beginners Ceramic Art Course\nThis class runs for 8 weeks per term \nStart date Wednesday 15th October \n7 – 9.30 pm \nPrice $300 \nThis class is designed to give students a solid grounding in Hand Building ceramics\, each term covers new techniques such as slab building\, coiling\, carving\, glazing and surface decoration.Each student gets one 10 kg bag of clay/term and a set of basic tools. DESCRIPTION:Ceramic X’mas Tree Workshop\nSaturday 29th November \n11 am – 1 pm \n$95 \nMahana Rd Studio \nParaparaumu Beach \nJump into the joy of Christmas creating your very own ceramic Christmas tree lantern.These are a stunning way to light up your X’mas Table\, display on your fireplace or perfect for your outdoor area\, so good you’ll keep them year round! \nThis is a fun and easy workshop ideal for beginners and a lovely way to get into the Christmas spirit creating with friends or family. \nYour tree will be approximately 30 cm high and will have a ceramic base for the candle to sit on for safety and to catch any melted wax\, there is no limit to what you can do with these design and colour wise\, and also in regard to the shape of the holes for the light to come through and carving of design and texture.  \nStorm has an amazing range of colours of the new brushable glazes that create the results you want. \nYour artworks will be dried\, fired and ready to collect within two weeks\, so come and have some creative fun with clay and make the center piece for your Christmas table. \nn.b. DESCRIPTION:Coffee Mug Workshop\nSat 6th June \n1pm – 3.30 pm \nMahana Rd Studio\, Paraparaumu beach \n$120 \nWhether you’re a tea or coffee drinker\, or hot chocolate lover everybody should have their very own handmade ceramic mug to drink from. \nThis is a fun workshop for beginners upwards\, we are hand building these from scratch and no experience is required as Storm will guide you through the process from start to finish. \nWe’ll make our mug and then decorate from a range of options and techniques including -sgraffito (hand carving a design) \, hand painting with underglazes or options to have your mug glazed in a wide variety of Storms glazes for that beautiful volcanic drippy feel that’s created by overlapping glaze combinations.Your mug will be twice fired and available to collect within two weeks. \nSo whether you come on your own and enjoy a creative afternoon with others\, bring a friend or book in a group this is a great way to enjoy making your own designer mug with clay. \nnb please park on the street and walk down the driveway to the signposted Studio
